An adventure seeker by heart, I recently completed an 8 month, 6 continent, 19 country trip around the world, solo. I started in South America climbing Wayna Picchu (through a landslide), muddy fun, then dove with Great White Sharks in the frigid waters off South Africa. Heading east I was off to the Gulf of Thailand, I had the thrill of diving 100 foot wreck dives and marveling at the most beautiful fish and coral I had ever seen. The explorer in me wasn't finished so I walked the very remote jungles of the Solomon Islands, tribe to tribe. It was the most grueling, physical adventure I had ever been on. I finished up my travels with the bulls chasing me at the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. What a thrill! I can't wait to do that one again.
Staying Fit in the Game of Life
The highlights of my trip were many and I learned so much about myself. But one of the best parts of my trip is I made it home injury and sickness free. I have my lifestyle to thank. As a Crossfit and nutrition enthusiast, I train hard and eat clean to keep my injury levels down and my body healthy. Cross training has been instrumental in keeping me in the game of life. My mind is sharp, my body balanced and my muscles strong. It also helped that I could train as I traveled, visiting Crossfit boxes (gyms) as I went, country to country. It is a great feeling to know I can count on my body to carry me through the challenges I give her.
Back to Oregon's Playground
I moved from Central Oregon 13 years ago and am now making my way back. How I have missed Oregon. I love to play and Oregon is about having fun and playing for me. With all the opportunities to get physical it is a dream come true. I can continue my healthy lifestyle while pushing my limits, eating clean and cross training along the way. A firm believer in anything is possible I enjoy teaching and inspiring others, especially women, to overcome their doubts, find their strengths and reach new heights. I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with all the Run Momma Run women as VP of Events.
