Our Three-Week Itinerary

I will also post your first training video all about shoes, gear and other running accessories that help you stay safe and comfortable on the trails. This will really get our discussion going!

tree_2_thMonday, October 17th: “THE DIRT: Types of Trails and How to Find them” Your second training video will be ready for you and we’ll start a new round of discussions focused on types of terrain, resources for finding trails and trail buddies.

tree_2_thMonday, October 24th: “THE DOOZY: Strategies for Hill Running” Your third training video will be hot off the press and give you specific tips for getting up and over these physical and mental hurdles. It will focus on getting you more confident and excited for your new running journey!

(Since this is a live session, I might poll the group to find the best time so you can all attend. You can always watch the video later, of course.) “Is this Course for Me?” (and Other FAQs)

Is this course for me?

Good question and nope, it’s not for everyone. If you are a runner that has never tried trail running or you are just starting out, this course is for you! If you’ve tried trail running and have even run a short race or two, but feel like you missed some of the basics about shoes, gear and hills, for example, then this course is for you, too! If you’ve been trail running for quite a while, have special gear and are trail savvy, have run several trail races and maybe even ultramarathons, nope, this isn’t your deal. The course content is designed to be a guide for beginners and is set up so new trail runners feel safe asking questions in a supportive environment. Still not sure? What is required?

– Internet access and email

– Facebook account

– The time to participate in our group trainings, the bravery to ask any questions you want and your giddy sense of adventure!

How long will registration be open?

Registration will stay open through Saturday, October 9th at 9:00pm (PST) or until the course is full. This gives me a chance to get everything prepped for our close-knit group experience that starts October 10th.

How will payments be processed?

I use PayPal to process payments. You will get a payment confirmation email from PayPal and a detailed confirmation/welcome email from me.

How long will I have access to the course material?

The private Facebook group will be open for an additional 14 days after the course ends so that you can review any material as much as you’d like, continue to chat with other classmates and get the most out of the connections you’ve made.

What is your refund policy?

I’m confident that you’ll gain the tools, inspiration and mentorship to get you started on your amazing trail running journey. If, within 10 days of your purchase, you decide this program is not working for you, you may receive a full refund.

About Me

me_mrtr_sm_for_webI’ve been a runner for over 15 years. The reasons are many; cardio fitness, mood enhancement, leg enhancement, waist enhancement. You get the picture. Running for fitness and mental well-being are high on the list, right? But mostly, I run because I LOVE IT. It gets me closer to myself: closer to my inner thoughts, my fears and my joy. It makes me feel like an athlete. I AM an athlete. And there is no better feeling.

After racing a few shorter distances, I soon got hooked on marathons. But for some crazy reason, 26.2 miles wasn’t long enough, so I took to the trails which started my deep love for long distance running in beautiful places. For me, running an ultramarathon is the best was to spend the day outside!

I started Run Momma Run and a running group in 2009. My favorite thing is to take new trail runners on their first trail run. I love seeing their sweaty, happy faces at the top of a hill. I can’t take all of you with me, so creating an online course was the next best thing.

When I first started running trails, I had a few mentors and it saved me oodles of time, money and many many mistakes. I would be honored to be your virtual trail guide.
